ORC TECHNOLOGY CONVERTS WASTE WOOD INTO ELECTRICITY
The Cyplan® ORC system, with an electrical output of 500 kW, will pay for itself in just four years.
At the center of the appearance of the Dürr Cyplan was the ORC technology. Dürr Cyplan offers a lucrative full service package based on a guaranteed availability for the ORC system. The system is fully assembled and tested at the Dürr Cyplan manufacturing facility
First low-temperature geothermal plant in Lahendong, Indonesia
The first low temperature geothermal plant in Lahendong, Indonesia has successfully entered its test-operation stage. The plant is based on the 500kW ORC module by Dürr Cyplan and is used to generate low temperature electricity. The concept was developed by the German Research Center of Geoscience GFZ and indicates the start for further projects in this area.
Industrial heat recovery promotion by BMWi extended
Since the 1st of September 2017, direct subsidies are feasible for the ORC technology.
The KfW Energy Efficiency Programme for Waste Heat (294) supports measures to avoid waste heat or rather use it by providing loans at reduced rates of interest, repayment grants and direct subsidies, financed by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). The ORC technology is also eligible for funding by the Ministry.
Efficient and flexible: biogas plant Jühnde modernizes with ORC
Since March an ORC module completes the biogas plant of the bioenergy village in Jühnde.
Under the synonym "Bioenergiedorf Jühnde 2.0" the biogas plant has been modernized, expanded and inaugurated with an open day on June 18.
Electricity and heat from waste material - the ORC Technology from Dürr enables the energetic use of residues for example from the woodworking industry. Through this simple and flexible system, timber residues can become a profitable resource with minimal investment. Therefore, generating electricity with repurposed waste material offers high savings for a wide range of application possibilities.
The wood firing system in Ilanz of the Elektrizitätswerk Zurich (ewz), Switzerland was successfully put into operation. The 350 kW ORC system generates electricity and heat by means of residual timber and is an example of the various possibilites for efficient usage of energetic residues through ORC technology.
